4-H Calendar Available Online

All of you should have received an e-mail regarding the creation of a 4-H Calendar that is available at all times online.  The calendar is linked to the Lamar County Extension Website.  You may access this by going to the main website, clicking the "Links" tab.  From there you will select the "4-H" link.  After this page opens, you will find the link entitled Lamar County 4-H Calendar and click it.  This will bring up a new page with the Calendar.  If you would like you may also click the link in this entry on the blog:

In all the craziness around me getting the Four Leaf Press out, I accidently left Nathan Newman out of the Lamar County Leadership Section.  Nathan serves our County as Parliamentarian and also represent us and District IV on the State 4-H Council.  Sorry about that man.

Photography Project Meeting

The photography project will be holding its 2nd meeting of the year on Monday October 26th @ 4:00pm @ the Lamar County Extension Office.  If you have would like to participate in the project, please come on out.  It's not too late to join.  We had a big turn out last night, but I know there are some of you that couldn't make the meeting.  Hope to see y'all on the 26th.

The Archery Project will be shifting its practices this fall due to the time change to once a month.  Practices will be held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at the Archers For Christ Range until further notice. 


The first practice will be on Saturday November 14th at 2:00pm.  If you have questions regarding the Archery Project or Archery Project practices, please contact me at the Extension Office or Magean Tuttle the Archery Project Leader.

WHAT ARE WE DOING:   JILL AND I WILL BE CONDUCTING THIS MEETING TO DETERMINE YOUR INTEREST IN THE FOOD PROJECT.  WE NEED TO START WORKING ON FOOD CHALLENGE AS WELL AS FIGURING OUT WHAT ITEMS YOU WILL BE PREPARING FOR THE TRADITIONAL COOKING SHOW AS WELL.  COME OUT AND LEARN ABOUT THE EXCITING NEW FOOD CHALLENGE.  IT'S GOING TO BE AWESOME!

Anyone interested in the Photography Project should be at this meeting.  Mr. Cook is going to go over goals for the project during this meeting as well as set the meeting times.  This is a great project to get involved in.  Hope I see lots of you there.
