Howdy Guys and Gals of the Lamar County 4-H!
As I'm sure some of you have seen, I am changing up the award selection process a little bit this year. For you to be recognized at the banquet this year for any type of award, I must have one of these forms in my hands or in my e-mail Inbox by Friday July 10th @ 5PM. If you must mail a copy to me, it needs to be in my office, NOT POSTMARKED.... in my office by July 10th @ 5PM. I will use this form so that as we are selecting awards and awarding project pins we have all the information right in front of us at the time decisions are made. This will eliminate whoever is selecting the awards scratching their heads saying, now what did this person do again... You guys get the picture. I just want all of you to have a fair shot, while also holding you accountable for your project.
Just a heads up, this years form does not have a place to list your Learning Experiences that constitute completion of your project, but NEXT years form will have that on there. You need to be seriously thinking about whether or not you completed your learning experiences. Part of 4-H is learning and developing character qualtities and among the most important to me are honesty and integrity. As you're thinking about what project(s) to list as completed during the 2008-2009 year, I want you to ask yourself this question........ If Matt asked me what my learning experiences were, could I give him an answer right then and there? Anyways... I know you guys are honest, awesome young people and wouldn't try to receive recognition you hadn't earned, but I'm just trying to make a point that as we go forward in the future of our 4-H program, I will be holding y'all accountable. Ok.. I feel like I probably left some stuff out of here, but if you have questions please e-mail me or call me.
