This is a unique opportunity for 4-H students who have an interst in swine project and want to get to know more about the port industry. The camp is a traveling bus tour and visits key industry locations for 16 students. 4-H'ers who will be enrolled during the 2008-09 school year as a high schoo junior or senior and this year's high school graduates are eligible to apply. The 2008 Youth Range Workshop is scheduled for June 15-20 at Texas Tech University in Junction. A total of 1,898 4-H and FFA youth have participated in this workshop since it began in 1955. This is a great learning experience and they are seeking 40 youth to participate. If you are interested, please download the enclosed application.
4-H'ers interested in participating in the District 10 Photography Contest, enclosed is an informational flyer. Take note, there are rule changes and changes to photography categories. Photos are due to the Extension Office by April 2nd. 08D10PhotoFlyer.doc
All exhibitors are required to setup a family profile and register for the contest on 4-H Connect. Go to our website, http://bandera-tx.tamu.edu and select the Texas 4-H link. From the Texas 4-H homepage, there is a direct link for 4-H Connect. Contact the Extension Office if you have any questions or problems.
*NEW* May 1st is the deadline for 4-H'ers to validate a horse. This certifies that the project is owned by the 4-H'er or their sibling, parent, grandparent or legal guardian. Horses not validated on or before May 1 are ineligible for District and State 4-H Horse Shows.
Each 4-H horse project validated must be accompanied by a $10 per horse fee. For forms, go to our website and select Publication from the menu and Horse Project or contact or come by the Extension Office to get forms.
