REMINDER!!!!! Bandera/Medina and Pipe Creek will have club meetings on Monday, April 28th. In understanding of TAKS testing taking place this week, clubs will limit their meetings to elections only so that kids can prepared for testing.
So do your part, come in an vote!
Meeting Locations are:
Bandera/Medina - Alkek Elementary Cafeteria - 7:15pm
Pipe Creek - Hill Country Elementary Cafeteria - 7:00pm
There will be a horticulture meeting this Sunday at Kyle & Austin Wilson's home from 2pm to 5pm. Bring your gloves, shovels, and vegetable plant. For directions to their home, please call the Extension Office.
Congratulations to all 4-H'ers who participated in the county photography exhibit and fashion/textile show, April 14th. The next stop for these 4-H'ers will be the District 10 Fashion/Textile Show and Photography Exhibit on April 26th at Texas State University in San Marcos.

Medina County Youth Board is sponsoring a college symposium to help students and parents in grades 6th thru 12th grade start to prepare for college. There is a $15.00 pre registration per family which includes lunch and program materials. For more information, please print off the enclosed flyer.
If you have suggestions to help improve or enhance the county livestock show or bake show, please bring them to the Extension Office by Monday April 21st.
REMINDER!!!!! Horse validation deadline is May 1st. There is a $10/horse validation fee. Please go to our website at http://bandera-tx.tamu.edu, select Publication from the menu and then Horse Project. Here you will find the validation forms, and horse show book guidelines.

Several 4-H events are now available on 4-H Connect for registriation:
2008 D10 Fashion Show - Registration available April 1-14th. This event includes the Fashion Show, Fabric & Fashion Design and Textile Show.
2008 D10 Judging Contest - Registration available April 1-14th. This events includes Swine Skill-a-thon, Livestock, Meats, Soils, Range, Grass ID, Entomology, Wool and Mohair.
Camp registration for Prime Time I & II and Spectra is also available.
Remember you must first setup a family profile, before registering for an event. Please be sure to review all information before hitting the send button.
