JR. HIGH LEADERSHIP LAB

suitcase.jpgAttention 4-H members who will be going into the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade here is a great opportunity to meet 4-H'ers from Texas and build leadership skills.  The Jr. High Leadership Lab will be held, June 17, 18, and 19 in Big Spring, Texas.

To register for the event, you will need to create a family profile on 4-H Connect.  Please visit our website at http://bandera-tx.tamu.edu.  Select the "Texas 4-H" link.  At the Texas 4-H homepage, select "4-H Connect" to setup your family profile and register for this camp.  The deadline to register for this camp is June 6th.

Steer Validation

steer.jpgAttention Steer Feeders!!!!  Steer Validation will take place Thursday, June 19th at the Bandera Veterinary Clinic on Hwy 16 North beginning at 5pm.  Exhibitors and parents must attend to complete and sign paperwork.   If exhibitors and/or parents cannot attend, please contact the Extension Office before validation will be held.

newspaperboy.jpgAttention 4-H members!  Here is the information for your club's end of year party.  Please contact your club manager for additional information.

Lakehills - Party is May 17th from 5pm to 8pm at Thousand Trails.  Club will supply the meat and the buns, 4-H'ers are asked to bring a side dish.  4-H'ers wanting to swim must have a parent present.

 

Pipe Creek - party is May 19th from 5:30 pm to 8pm at the Pipe Creek Community Center.  Food, games, awards will be provided.

Bandera Jr./Sr. - movie night at Mansfield Park Showbarn, May 22nd from 6pm to 8pm.  4-H members are asked to bring a desert and chair or blanket to watch movie.

Medina Club - party is still be planned.  Watch this blog for more information.

 

Easter, fishing, judging, star student 123.jpgCongratulations to the members of the Bandera County 4-H Livestock Judging Team.  Team members traveled to the Gillespie County Fairgrounds where they competed against 21 other counties in District 10.  Led by coach Joe Don Osbourn, our team members did great!!!.  The results are:

1st place - Junior Team (members are Krystian Osbourn, Reilly Butler, Caleigh Asher and Hailey Morgan).  2nd place - Intermediate Team #1 (members are Katie Mangold, Micaela Keese, Morgan Van Dyne and Scott Mangold)  4th place - Intermediate Team #2 (members are Cody Mayfield, Mitchell Keese and Shelby Blair)  Senior Team members were Seth Saathoff and Joseph Burke who did a great job representing Bandera County 4-H.

We are proud of all of our exhibitors,  Way to GO!!!   We have some great future photographers!!!!!   Thank you to Mrs. Laurie Van Dyne and Carolyn Lister for the assisting us with the photography project.
