Did you just get elected as a 2008-09 4-H Club Officer? Do you want to know what you will need to do at club meetings?
The answer to these questions and much more can be found at 4-H Club Officer Training July 23rd from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Mansfield Park Showbarn. Officer training is MANDATORY for all 4-H Club and Council officers. If you have a major conflict, you must contact the Extension Office by July 14th.

Attention 4-H exhibitor who currently show goats or new to the goat project!!! The District 10 Council Goat Project Committee is sponsoring a Goat Camp for youths and adults interested in learning about the youth market goat project.
The camp will be held at the Kerr County Fairgrounds in Kerrville, Texas. Cost is $35.00 for Youth which includes lunch, breakfast and a t-shirt.

Would you like to share your 4-H career story portfolio with others? and showcase your 4-H achievements in your 4-H projects?
Enclosed in this article is information, and forms for completing a 4-H Award Recordbook. A recordbook highlights your 4-H story and career in your particular project, i.e. photography, rabbits, goats, beef, food and nutrition, etc.

ATTENTION BAKE SHOW AND LIVESTOCK SHOW EXHIBITORS!!!
Bake Show and Livestock Show checks are still available at the Extension Office for pick up. You will need to bring an unsealed addressed stamped envelope for your buyer and project record from to get your check. For Buyer information and record form, go to our website at http://bandera-tx.tamu.edu. Select "Publications" from the menu and then BCJLS Bake Show or BCJLS Livestock Show for buyer information and forms.
ATTENTION POULTRY EXHIBITORS!!!!
If you are interested in showing turkeys at the county and major shows for the 2009 Show year, the deadline to order your birds is Friday, June 27th! Cost of birds are $3.50 each and you can order from 5 to 75 birds. Birds will be delivered in October. For more information, contact the County Extension Office at 830-796-7755.
