CONGRATULATIONS! to all of the 171 exhibitors who participated in the 2007 BCJLS Bake Show. If you sold your item through the auction, you will need to write a thank you note (must be stamped, addressed and unsealed) and complete the Project Record Form before picking up your check. Bake Show checks will be available at the Extension Office, Dec. 17th!

Are you interested in learning how to bead a bracelet, necklace or earrings? As part of our clothing and textiles project, we are offering a beading project this year. Ms. Gail Caldwell our own 4-H Beading Guru will be teaching this project. A supply list of materials needed will be provided at first meeting. Meetings will be held on Wednesdays from 4pm to 5pm here at the Extension Office (Mansfield Park Showbarn).

If you have not completed your entry card for the Bandera County livestock show, entry cards are available at the Extension Office. Please call or come by to get your cards.
The Deadline to enter the county show is Monday, December 3rd. Entries received after this date will be chared a $25 per entry late fee until December 17th.
The last swine validation will take place on Monday, November 26th starting at 4pm. Exhibitors and parents/guardians must be present to sign paperwork. If you have any questions, please contact the Extension Office at 830-796-7755.
Got photos? Got scrapbook paper? Want to learn how to put them together? Then the District 10 Photography Scrapbook Workshop is the place to be! Workshop is Thur, Jan 3, 2008 at the Comal County Extension Office in New Braunfels Texas. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with workshop starting at 9am. Cost is $5.00. RSVP deadline is December 21st. For more information, please print off the enclosed flyer.

Congratulations to Mr. Thigpen who had the winning ticket of the Booster Club Rifle Drawing, held, Monday, November 12th. Thank you to everyone for participating. This is only one of the major fundraisers the Booster Club holds for 4-H scholarships.
If you like to join this club, please contact our office. Their active part in our 4-H program, helps support 4-H kids and adults volunteers for leader trainings, camps, and college scholarships.
Congratulations! to everyone who participated in the Bake Show, Sat, Nov. 10th!. The delightful smell of the wonderful items that everyone baked pleased all of our buyers. The auction sale list is being finalized and should be posted shortly.
While you are waiting, we encourage exhibitors who sold through the auction to start to write their thank you notes. Thank you notes must be addressed, stamped, and unsealsed. You must also complete a project record form (print off enclosed form) to get your check. If you received a silver tray, you must also bring in the stamped addressed thank you note to the tray donor. If you are planning on attending major stock shows, enclosed is a major stock show summary. The summary includes entry fees, gate passes, parking, etc. It is only a summary of all the shows and not the entry form. For Major Show schedules and entry forms go to our website at http://bandera-tx.tamu.edu. Click on "links" and "major shows" .
Major Show Entry Deadline is Friday, Nov. 16th. Please contact the Extension Office at 830-796-7755 to make an appointment.

The Showbarn will be filled with the sweet smell of delightful baked items as the BCJLS Bake Show is Saturday, Nov. 10th. For a Bake Show schedule, please download the attached file.
