Eat Your Breakfast

| | Comments (0)

This afternoon I presented a program called "Eat Your Breakfast" to WIC recipients in Blanco. We discussed the health benefits of eating breakfast everyday and prepared and easy recipe.

Here's a great, easy, inexpensive recipe to try:

Blueberry-Pineapple Parfaits

1 can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks, drained
container (8 ounces) fat-free flavored yogurt
½ cups fresh blueberries or frozen blueberries, thawed and patted dry
½ cup granola

In a small bowl, combine the pineapple with half of the yogurt. In small cups, layer the pineapple-yogurt mixture, blueberries, and granola. Repeat layering twice. Top each parfait with a dollop of yogurt.
