We finally got the April's edition of the Seedling Report on the website. Scherle talks about fighting rabbits and Harry Berg shares his innovative and relative inexpensive method to protect the plants from pest. Also included is the latest listing of 3rd Saturday classes. Coming up is a program on Birds, Bees and Butterflies. And next month, Dr. Sloan - our research soil scientist and master composter, will be sharing his expertise on making and maintaining healthy soils.

Finally, a photo from the compost workshop conducted at the ECG@Dallas on April 13th (Friday). Heard that it was a fun time and participants were treated to information from our Texas A&M Urban Solutions Center soil scientist extraordinaire, Dr. John Sloan - who just so happen to be also a Master Composter. Remember those brightly colored string that were lining up the ground on the area closest to Coit Road? Well, this past Saturday, April 21st, an enthusiastic group of Collin County Master Gardeners and their "volunteered" spouse were busy putting in the demonstration gardens. Three of the four beds are completed, and we are waiting on materials for the completion of the last bed. Now we have to get the irrigation in place and off we go to have the plants looking good.
