July's 3rd saturday program features Texas Cooperative Extension's Urban Entomologist, Dr. Mike Merchant. He had a real interesting presentation educating the audience about low-impact pesticides for the garden. See all the goodies on the table. I am sure much was learned on this day. Then not to let the beautiful day go to waste, the group headed outdoor to the garden for an "Insect Safari". There is always fun on the 3rd saturday programs. Next one is on August 18th. See you there!

This is a slight departure from the ECG stuff, but an exciting development. I have just added a new button on the sickplants website menu, titled "podcasts". Our Information tech person is getting a bunch of informational videos up on Dallas Urban Solutions Center website (aka Texas A&M Research and Extension Center Dallas). A bunch of it was produced by Patricio Salinas, a information intern that worked for me (Extension Plant Pathology) last year. You will notice his handwork when you see the seal of the Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology. Check it out if when you get a chance.>
