Welcome to East Texas Gardening

|

Gardening is one of the oldest occupations and hobbies, and one of the most relaxing and interesting. My goal for this weblog (blog) is provide timely updates on what is happening horticulturally in the Northeast Texas area.

It may be an upcoming educational program, questions and answers on current plant problems, or a new, different or cool plant that I thought you might find interesting. Hopefully you'll find this blog useful for your gardening endeavors, whether you you have green or brown thumb.

For more information on East Texas Gardening, go to the East Texas Gardening web site http://easttexasgardening.tamu.edu. Check out the Home Gardens and Links sections for lots more info on gardening in this part of Texas. The Smith County Master Gardeners have also taken on the maintenance their web presence at http://grovesite.com/mg/smg. Take a look at the IDEA Garden section - that will be featured frequently in this Blog.
