4-H Resource: For The Record -- Recordbook MOODLE Module

The Texas 4-H & Youth Development Program is pleased to announce the development and launch of a new online educational module called "Texas 4-H Recordbook Training".  The training has been posted on the MOODLE online learning system. 
Extension Information Technology website houses trainings to deliver e-learning courses on using a program called Moodle.  Texas 4-H has developed a Moodle training called "Texas 4-H Recordbook Training". This training can be conducted on-line at any time by one person or as an instructional piece for a group using internet access, projector and computer.

To begin, you will need to set up an account on Moodle. Go to: http://eit.tamu.edu/moodle.shtml

1.) Click on Extension Professional Development Courses

2.) On the top left, click on create a new account.

3.) Complete the required fields. Be sure to keep your username and password in a safe place for future reference. An email will be sent to the address you provided. Make sure the email called "Extension Professional Development Courses: account information" does not go to your junk mail.

4.) Open the email and follow instructions to confirm your new account.

5.) Now that your registration has been confirmed, click on the courses to choose course selection.

6.) Click on "4-H" for 4-H trainings.

7.) Now choose your selected course to take. In this case, click on Texas 4-H Recordbook Training.

8.) You are now at the main page for the Record Book Training. Before you get started, make sure you have the needed plug-ins.

9.) You are now ready to begin your training. Follow the prompts listed on the screen. You may take a short pretest to test your recordbook knowledge, print instructions, forms and download PDF handouts from the presentation.

10.) You are now ready to watch the recordbook presentation.

11.) Optional items include downloading the presentation audio Mp3, reviewing recordbook terms, visiting the Texas 4-H Website, and playing the recordbook terms game.

12.) After completing the course you may take the post-test.

13.) We ask that you complete the course evaluation questionnaire so that we can better serve your training needs in the future.

14.) And, finally, congratulate yourself on your completion of the course by printing your PDF Certificate of Completion.
