Entry fees are $10.00 per animal post marked on or before June 13, 2008. Entries post marked after this date or entered at the show on Saturday, June 21, 2008 will pay late entry fee.


Junior Dairy Show Judge: Wayne Becker

  1.  Open to bonafide  4-H  and FFA members enrolled in public or private elementary or secondary schools.
  2. Classes for Brown Swiss , Holstein, Jersey and Other Breeds Both Registered and Grade animals are welcome to show!

**** There must be a minimum of six (6) animals to form a breed class. Breeds of less than 6 will be shown in the other Breeds Class.

  1. Heifers born after February 2008
  2. Heifers born December 1, 2007 - February 29, 2008
  3. Heifers born September 1, - November 30, 2007
  4. Heifers born June 1, - August 31, 2007
  5. Heifers born March 1, - May 31, 2007
  6. Heifers born December 1, 2006 - February 28, 2007
  7. Heifers born September 1, - November 30, 2006
  8. Heifers (not in milk ) born June 1 -  August 31, 2006
  9. Heifers (not in milk ) born December 1, - May 31, 2006
  10. Junior Champion Female (from heifer classes) Champion Reserve Champion
  11. Two Year Old Cows born September 1, -November 30, 2005 (including younger animals that have freshened)
  12. Three Year Old Cows born September 1, 2004 - August 31, 2005
  13. Four Year Old Cows born September 1, 2003 - August 31, 2004
  14. Aged  Cows born before September 1, 2003
  15. Senior Champion Female (from cow classes) Champion/Reserve Champion
  16. Grand  Champion Female (from Junior and Senior Champions)
Showmanship - Will follow each breed show. There will be junior and senior showmanship in each breed. Showmanship awards sponsored by Dairy Farmers of America , Martindale Feed Mill
  • Junior Showmanship (9 or 3rd Grade -13) - 1st place will receive award.
  • Senior Showmanship (14 & older) - 1st place will receive award.
Premiums: Determined by number of entries. Supplemental premiums will be sponsored by Southwest Dairy Farmer.

Champion Awards Sponsored by DairyMax, Agri-Max Financial Services and Northeast Texas livestock and Dairy Association

Entry Fees are $10.00 per animal post marked by June 13, 2008Entries post-marked after June 13, 2007 or entered at the show on Saturday June 21 will be charged $ 15.00.

The show will be held at Hopkins County Regional Civic Center, 1200 Houston St., Sulphur Springs, Texas

 
Premium money must be picked up the day of the show. No premium money will be mailed!


All livestock that are found to be infected with or exposed to contagious or communicable disease, including scabies, mange or fever ticks shall be removed from the premises at once, segregated from all other livestock and quarantined. Said livestock shall be treated in accordance with the provisions of law and of the rules and regulations of the Texas Animal Health Commission.

 
Official Health Certificates covering all livestock shipments intended for exhibition purposes shall be presented to representatives of the Texas Animal Health Commission at the time such livestock arrive on the grounds, for approval.

 
All rules of the Texas Animal Health Commission, and Northeast Texas Livestock and Dairy Association shall apply.

 
The Northeast TEXAS Livestock and Dairy Association, judges, or  show officials will in no case be liable for any damage, fire, theft, injury or loss which may Occur to any person or persons, property (personal or public) or livestock.

 
All animals must be in place by 8:30 a.m. Show will begin at 10:00a.m.  Early arrival is permitted.

 
Straw may be used for bedding (no shavings allowed)
