Collections for the Corinne T. Smith Animal Shelter - deadline Nov.5th.

This is a State Community Service Activity - see below for details. Please drop off your items to Denton County Agrilife Extesnion by Wednesday, Nov. 5th, Fair Hall on the 5th or bring to the Stocking Sewing Event on Nov. 3 from 3 to 9 at the Extension office. The Kilpatrick Family will happily take your donations to the Junior Leadership Retreat!

Service is a major part of JLR. This year we will support the "Corinne T. Smith Animal Shelter". The Shelter serves Brown County and the surrounding rural communities with low-cost spaying and neutering, animal cruelty prevention programs, and humane education programs.

Corinne T. Smith Animal Center - WISH LIST

The items listed below are used in the Center on a regular basis. Brand of the product is not important (unless noted specifically), just ask yourself "Would you use this at your own home? Would you use this with your own pet?"

  • kitty litter
  • 55 gallon trash bags
  • powdered laundry soap (large plastic pails preferred, can recycle containers)
  • liquid fabric softener
  • fabric softener sheets
  • Ajax dish soap
  • flea & tag shampoo
  • small toys for cats
  • money - conduct a penny drive or loose change drive
  • canned cat food (any flavor)
  • office supplies (pens, copy paper)
