If you have tried a Toastmaster's Youth Leadership, do we have an
announcement for you.
Denton Toastmasters is going to sponsor a Gavel Club. A Gavel Club is a
communication and leadership club for youth who are under 18. Cost will be
$2.50/year dues plus cost of communication and leadership manuals. Manuals cost
around $5. A Gavel Club meeting is run like a Toastmasters meeting.
If you want to visit and see a Toastmasters meeting, come to Denton
Toastmasters on Monday evenings at 7 pm at Lake Forest Good Samaritan Village
3901 Montecito in the activity building. This coming Monday night 1/26 begins
the club's contest season with the local qualifying speech competitions being
held, you're invited to come watch. Toastmaster Club members that have not had
the opportunity to see the participants in the Jr. Toastmaster program would
love to meet you.
