I will be hosting a Private Pesticide Applicator Training Course on Monday, November 19, 2007, starting at 8:30 AM in the Smith County Extension office meeting room. This course is for people who would like to be able to purchase restricted use pesticides for the purpose of producing an agricultural commodity on land that they own or lease. For more information, please read This Flier. Cost is $20 per person, which includes the training book.
Following this training, around 2 PM there will be another training for agricultural employers who have employees they need to train in pesticide safety. This Right to Know Class is free and last about 1 hour. This class is for farm workers who work with or around pesticides as a part of their job.
