Trichomoniasis is a disease that causes infertility and occasional abortions in cows and heifers. Trichomonas fetus, the protozoan that causes the disease, can be found in the reproductive tracts of bulls and cows.
The Texas Animal Health Commission adopted new Trichomoniasis regulations at their meeting in Austin February 24, 2009.
