The Smith County Extension office is offering three, two hour continuing education video sessions on Monday, February 23, starting at 10 AM and ending at 5 PM. These sessions will be offered at our office (1517 W. Front Street, Suite 116) in Tyler.

The schedule is as follows:

10 AM to noon - 2 hours of Laws and Regulations credit

1 PM to 3 PM - 2 hours of Integrated Pest Management credit

3 PM to 5 PM - 2 hours of General credit

You may attend all three sessions and earn 6 hours credit in one day.

As a reminder, Private Applicators must receive 15 CEUs every 5 years (of which 2 hours must be in the Laws & Regulations category and 2 hours must be in the Integrated Pest Management category) in order to renew their license. Commercial and Non-commercial applicators must obtain 5 CEUs annually (1 hour each in two of the following three categories is required - Laws & Regulations, Integrated Pest Management, or Drift Minimization) for license renewal.

Internet, at-home study, and face-to-face courses offered by commercial providers are also options that can be utilized by license holders to obtain CEUs.

To register for one or all of these sessions, please call the Smith County Extension office at 903-590-2980 or email b-triplett@tamu.edu. Persons with special needs are asked to call at least 5 days in advance so that necessary accommodations can be made.
