The Rusk/Smith County Forestry Landowners Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to encourage and assist in the development of forestry in Rusk and Smith counties.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and forage producers, this year's auction at the East Texas State Fair raised $31,500 for the fair's Junior Livestock Show premium fund, the East Texas Cattle-Ettes scholarship fund, and scholarship and conservation activities sponsored by the Smith County Soil and Water Conservation District.

The Grand Champion bale was exhibited by Bethany Rudd of Tyler and was purchased by Walker and Associates for $3,300.  The Reserve Grand Champion bale was exhibited by Jeff Williams of Tyler and was purchased by Harry Leatherwood and Threlkeld and Company Insurance also for $3,300.
